I am the eldest of four brothers (no sisters, but three sisters-in-law, Michelle, Angela, and Carla), located in an assortment of places:
<cbbrowne@acm.org>
-
Christopher Browne - Scarborough, Ontario.
David and Michelle Browne with Jonathan and Kirsten
<dmbrowne@pda-archives.com>
- Flower Mound, Texas.
<david_browne@sabre.com>
David is a Java programmer with Travelocity.
Dave's past work at IBM involved software written in Java and APL to configure and price IBM RS/6000 systems. Dave also likes to race in triathlons.
Michelle worked at Sabre, with the Travelocity group that provides web-based travel services. She has been known to do Unix work generally on SGI (Silicon Graphics) systems, programming web applications using TCL and C++.
They maintain, on a personal basis, the graphically sophisticated Dave and Michelle's Web Page.
In his diminishing spare time, Dave maintains a sizable web site, PalmPilot Archives, on the 3Com PalmPilot, which he dubs "the ultimate career-enhancing tool."
Dave, Michelle, and I have been known to enjoy visiting Toronto
Blue Jay games at The Ball Park at Arlington...
Making things even more interesting is the addition of Jonathan and Kirsten.

Bradley and Angela Browne - Halifax, Nova Scotia, Petty Officer/Sonar
Technician, Canadian Navy. With little Courtney, Dylan, and Emma, we
can send letters to A, B, C, D, and E.
Member of 1996, 1997, 2000, 2009, and probably some other years, for Canadian Rifle Teams at the Bisley International Small Arms Competition in the United Kingdom, competing as the Canadian Navy representative. Basically this means that he has been the "top shot" in the Canadian Navy. The team did rather well in 1997 and was on the 2000 team...
He was pictured in the March 1997 issue of "Guns Magazine" in an article on a set of optical rifle sights adopted by the Canadian military. He has also been published in Small Arms Review
He has also been known to use somewhat larger pieces of
military equipment...
In 1996, he became the first of the Browne Brothers to own a house, and thus stop paying rent. But correspondingly the first to start making mortgage and property tax payments, and doing house repairs. While the experience may ultimately prove worthwhile, owning a home does not represent "financial freedom" by any stretch of the imagination.
During his high school days, he was one of the "big wheels" in getting the Ottawa Board of Education Space Simulation up and running.
Here's a picture of me on the range one time I visited
Halifax...

Douglas, Carla, Olivia,
Ryan, and Lauren Browne, LaSalle, Ontario.
Doug works for a Japanese company called Omron that builds sensor and control equipment, and is involved with building custom automation systems for automotive and other manufacturing applications.
They are affiliated with Campbell Baptist Church in Windsor...
Young'uns now lead to having lessened amounts of sleep :-).
These days, with the four of us spread out so much, it tends to be some rather significant event that gets us together in the same place. This has been known to include significant pranks. It's somewhat "dangerous" to have us all together!

Anil, president of
Cotest Software, , who
lived in Toronto in the apartment I last lived in there, is an
"honorary" Browne brother due to many years of putting up with us,
as well as an inadvertant "christening" by Rev. Lyle Johnson at
Christmas in about 1994. (Lyle may or may not remember this.) For
his wedding, Dave and I wound up Travelling to India, an exceedingly
memorable experience.
